How I work

Sessions are 50 minutes long and typically once a week. Depending on the nature of our work and progress on therapeutic goals, session frequency may be increased or decreased to cater to each individual.

I provide both in person and virtual services.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

Free 15-30 minute phone consultation:

I provide free phone consultations to explore what you would like to get out of therapy, and see if we are a good fit. I am also happy to give you referrals to other therapists if needed. I would love to hear from you. 415-506-8172

Fees:

My current fee is $180/50 minute session. I have a limited number of sliding scale appointments, and I accept credit cards via a secure online platform at the time of service.

Insurance:

I currently do not accept insurance, but recommend you call your insurance carrier to explore possible reimbursement rates. Many plans will cover a percentage of the cost of out-of-network mental health providers. I would be happy to provide you with an invoice to facilitate this process.
